Without one by my side it's just not the same. Anyone who walks dogs will tell you that.
I have walked 100's of dogs, young and old, big and small. I love them all. Aside from my own dogs, there have been neighbors' and friends' dogs and those from Puppies Behind Bars, an organization I volunteered for over 10 years. Here are 3 pups from PBB that are waiting for their first shots at the vet.
Whether I am in North Salem, Katonah or even Manhattan, it is hard for me to pass a pup without saying hello.
Hogan, my best boy, was a Lab from Guiding Eyes for the Blind. He was released when he was 8 weeks old because he did not make "the cut." Over the years I have had a dozen cats. Canter, Trot and Chaps were living in a barn while Hildy inserted herself into my cat pack without anyone noticing. This is Kisco. He was a feral cat found under Mount Kisco Diner when he was four weeks old. He was bottle fed and then given to me when he was a bit older.
